Work out what you need

Know where your netting is going? Enter your measurements and the hardware calculator lists the clips, wire and fittings for the job.

Plan a cat run

Starting from scratch? The DIY cat run builder plans the netting and hardware for a full run, step by step.

Have it installed

We don't do installations, but we work with the installers on our list to make sure they install our netting correctly and do a good job. They'll measure up and quote, and prices depend on the job, so it's worth asking two.

DIY hardware FAQs

How many fence brackets do I need?

One bracket per fence post, or a maximum of one every 3 metres.

Which eyelet should I use for my surface?

For brick or concrete, use the Netbolt Eyelet, which needs a 10mm drill bit. For timber, use the Multi-Surface Eyelet; you can swap its self-tapping metal screw for a timber screw. Not sure what your surface is? Send us a photo and we'll recommend one.

Should I use rope or wire?

For most installs, especially permanent ones on a house or solid structure, a stainless steel wire rope system is best. Polyethylene rope suits lighter or temporary setups. Once it's tensioned, cable-tie each end so it holds.

When do I need to start a new wire run?

If a run is 10 metres or longer, or has a turn, start a new run with a turnbuckle to keep the tension.

How do I work out what hardware I need?

Use the Hardware Calculator. Choose the installation area that matches your space, enter your measurements and surface, and it lists the parts; you can adjust them before adding to cart.

Can I install netting if I'm renting?

Wire rope systems use permanent fittings, so they aren't always renter-friendly. If you can't drill, a portable cat enclosure needs no fixing to your property.
